Give SurgeX Digital access to your ad accounts

This guide walks you through linking your Google Ads account to our manager account and sharing your Meta business assets with our Business Manager. Both take about 10 minutes. You stay the owner of every account, and you can remove our access at any time.

Why we ask for access this way

ShowHide security and support details
No shared passwords

You never send us a login

We work from our own SurgeX accounts. Your passwords, 2-step verification codes and recovery details stay with you, and nobody on our team signs in as you.

You stay the owner

Your accounts remain yours

Linking to our MCC or adding us as a Meta partner does not transfer ownership. Your ad accounts, Page, pixel and billing stay in your business. If we part ways, everything stays with you.

One-click removal

You can switch us off any time

Unlink our manager account in Google Ads or remove us as a partner in Meta, and access ends straight away for every person on our team at once.

Team changes are clean

Access follows the agency, not people

When someone joins or leaves our team, we update it on our side. You do not have to add or remove individual emails, and no former employee keeps access to your account.

Full audit trail

Every change is traceable

Google Ads Change history and Meta's activity log show which user made each change. Shared logins hide this. Named access keeps it clear.

Fewer account locks

Avoids security flags

Logins to one personal account from new devices and countries often trigger Meta and Google security checks, and sometimes restrictions. Business-level access avoids that risk.

Google Ads

Support through our MCC

  • Once your account is linked, we can contact Google Ads support about your account directly from our manager account, so you are not stuck relaying messages.
  • We can handle billing questions, disapproved ads, policy reviews and account suspensions on your behalf, with your account ID already in view.
  • Where available, agency accounts get access to Google's agency support channels and account teams, which can mean faster answers on complex issues.
Meta

Support through our Business Manager

  • With partner access, we can open Meta support cases for your shared assets from our own business portfolio.
  • We can request reviews of rejected ads, appeal ad account or Page restrictions, and fix pixel and dataset issues without waiting for you to sign in.
  • Some fixes, like ad account settings, appeals and dataset settings, need Full control. This is why we move to phase 2 once we are running your account.
  • Where available, agency partners can use Meta's agency and business support channels for faster help.

Support options vary by country, account spend and program eligibility, and Google and Meta change them from time to time. We use whichever channel is open to us for your account.

Google Ads: add our manager account

ads.google.com · about 5 minutes
Before you start
  • Sign in with a Google account that has Admin access to your Google Ads account. Standard or read-only users cannot send or accept link requests.
  • Use a laptop or desktop. The Google Ads mobile app does not show these settings.
  • Keep your own 10-digit Customer ID handy. It is shown at the top of every Google Ads screen, next to your account name.
STEP 1 OF 5

Open the right Google Ads account

Go to ads.google.com and sign in. If you manage more than one account, check the account name and Customer ID at the top of the screen so you are linking the correct one.

At the top of the page you will see tabs for Users, Managers and Security. Click Managers, then click the round + button to link a manager account.

Please use the Managers tab, not the Users tab. Linking a manager account gives our whole team access without you adding each person by email.

The request shows as Pending until we accept it on our side, usually within a few hours on business days. After that the status changes to Active and you are done.

Please send us your 10-digit Customer ID so we can match the request to your account.

Got an email from us instead? If we sent the link request from our side, you will get an email from Google Ads. Click Accept request in that email, or go to Admin, Access and security, Managers and click Accept next to SurgeX Digital.

Meta: add us as a partner

business.facebook.com/settings · about 10 minutes
Before you start
  • You need full control (admin) of your Meta business portfolio. If you are not sure, ask whoever set up your Business Manager.
  • Use a laptop or desktop browser. The Meta Business Suite mobile app does not have the partner settings.
  • Your assets (Page, ad account, Instagram, pixel, app, WhatsApp) should already sit inside your business portfolio. If one is missing, tell us and we will help you add it.

How access works: two phases

PHASE 1 · NOW

Partial access

You share each asset with Partial access and tick the tasks listed below. This lets us review your setup, build campaigns and read reports. We cannot change billing, payment methods or who has access.

PHASE 2 · WHEN WE ASK

Full control

Once we start running your account, we will ask you to switch the same assets to Full control. This lets us fix tracking, manage pixel and app settings, and handle account issues without waiting on you.

Meta sometimes renames tasks. If a label looks different on your screen, tick every task offered under Partial access.

STEP 1 OF 5

Open Business settings

Go to business.facebook.com/settings. If you have more than one business portfolio, pick the one that owns your ad account from the dropdown at the top left.

You will see asset types on the left. Work through each one:

  1. Click an asset type, for example Ad accounts.
  2. Tick the asset you want to share.
  3. Leave Full control switched off for now and tick every task under Partial access (see the table above).
  4. Repeat for Pages, Instagram accounts, Datasets (this is where your pixel lives), Apps and WhatsApp accounts.

Switching to Full control

When we ask you to upgrade our access:

Common problems

I can't see the Managers tab or the + button in Google Ads

Your Google login does not have Admin access to the account. Ask an account admin to do these steps, or to upgrade your access under Admin, Access and security, Users.

Google says the account is already linked to a manager

A Google Ads account can link to several managers, so this is usually fine. If another agency owns the account, tell us and we will work out the right setup.

I can't find Partners in Meta

You need full control of the business portfolio, and you must use a desktop browser. Go straight to business.facebook.com/settings.

My pixel isn't listed

Meta now shows pixels under Datasets (inside Data sources). If it is still missing, the pixel may sit in a personal ad account outside your portfolio. Let us know.

Can I remove access later?

Yes. In Google Ads, go to Admin, Access and security, Managers and unlink us. In Meta, go to Users, Partners, pick SurgeX Digital and remove the partner. Both take effect right away.
